HPHT Well Control Course

ABOUT THE COURSE

High Pressure / High Temperature wells are phenomenally expensive. Operators, Drilling Contractors and Service Personnel must do all they can in order to avert a very expensive and dangerous situation from occurring.

This very intensive course takes delegates through the key points relating to HPHT wells and of course in particular with regards to HPHT well control, what can be done to avert a well control event from occurring and what should be done should a HPHT well control event occur.

Presentation material is through the use of the HPHT Well Control Manual, PowerPoint, case histories, videos and digital film.

THE COURSE FACILITATOR


Dr Michael Gibson, who has 20 years of course facilitation experience; 30 years total oilfield experience. He is one of the few Instructors’ in the world who has attained Advanced Well Control Accreditation through IADC and has worked extensively on HPHT Projects – both in the USA and in the UK Sector of The North Sea.
