ABOUT THE COURSE

With wells becoming more expensive and difficult to drill (HPHT, Deepwater, Extended Reach, Horizontal etc) optimised drilling practices have become more and more important from both the operator’s and drilling contractor’s perspectives.

This course covers what can be readily done to achieve optimised results – in terms of safety, efficiency, oil and gas production, and cost effectiveness (and so profit maximisation).

Presentation material is through the use of manuals, PowerPoint, case histories, videos and digital film and the course is tutored by Dr Michael Gibson, 30 years industry experience on rigs worldwide with operators and contractors.

Teamwork exercises feature strongly throughout the course to maximise the learning process.
