Risk Impact Software

IDEAS has its own QRA software in order to be able to demonstrate complete independence. Used for a number of Operators, Insurers, Banks, Drilling Contractors and Service Companies worldwide since being proven in 2002, the software is based upon Impact Analysis. All events are broken-down into their constituent components and analysed. The probability of occurrence is determined – and then its tolerability.

The resultant easy to understand graphical outputs show Safety Factors – ie. how safe the operation is (or is not). This makes a traditionally difficult subject easy to understand. Simply – if resultant Safety Factors are poor, then a great deal of attention has to be paid to reduce the risks and resulting impacts. This is an excellent way to increase safety and reduce untoward event occurrence. Also, any event (such as production optimisation – because there is also risk here – ie. the risk of poor production for example) can be studied; such is the versatility of the system.
